With the way Steven Dodson is throwing, we're just trying to get to the fifth inning with the lead. For whatever reason, he's taken to that role and run with it.

The first game was interesting. We had a four-run lead and squandered it, but Daly puts up zeros, Derek gets the big hit and Steven (Wright) closes it. Steven had to get his work in and 25 pitches was just right.

We had him on the hook in the first inning, and then he got that lead and then he started mixing his pitches in better than he did in the first inning. That lead does a lot for you.

I was trying to throw in and missed and it got away from me. Then the whole inning got away from me, the whole game. When you give up a six-run lead in the first inning, that's atrocious. I was looking for some pitches and I just couldn't find them. After that first inning, I thought I settled down.
