en It's still very early in the season, but these are good signs. We gutted it out. We found a way to win, and that's good because [most games] in the league are going to be close.

en We're not doing the things we did early in the season when we were winning all of those close games. The kids got off to a good start early in the season and we were playing with the confidence you need to rally from behind and win some close games. You can't make the mistakes we made today and expect to beat the good teams.

en We have to learn from some of our mistakes down the stretch and get better at it. We haven't played in a lot of close games lately. We kind of struggled a little bit. These games prepare you for the post-season. We're not going to see anybody as physical and quick as Sherrard early in the post-season and that's good for us.

en Defensively we did a good job of challenging their shots. We gutted it out. We've had several close games where it came down to a couple possessions.

en We approach Wake as a very good basketball team. There have been more close games in the league this season than I've ever seen, and Wake is one of those teams where four or five games could have easily gone the other way.

en In this league, there's a fine line between winning and losing close games. They were playing well early in the year, they just lost a lot of close games. Down the stretch they won those games.

en I told the kids before the season started that we're going to be in a lot of close football games, and if you want to have the kind of season you want to have, you have to be good enough to win close games. Today we weren't.

en You need to score goals to win football matches. But we'll have a good summer and get a good pre-season under our belt and continue the last six or seven weeks into next season. We can't afford to have the same league season as we had this year. We have too good a side to do that. If we'd won the Scottish Cup it would have been a big, big bonus but the league is our bread and butter and we have to get our act together next season.

en I think we've seen a lot of good talent this season. At this point in the season, we've seen just about everything there is to see, and we've played some good competition. We played in a good league and had some good non-conference games. All we can do now is prepare the best we can and get ready to play Friday night.

en Nobody expects it to take real long, but it takes a while to build a program anywhere. In addition, we expanded this league. The good news is we're getting better. The bad news is, so is everybody else in this league. We've lost an awful lot of close games, but we're very, very close.

en They could be in third place with a little luck. That's how close the league is. The difference is so minute between teams. Look at West Virginia, (they've had) one after the other of close, tough games, and as good as Connecticut is, against Pitt, it's a one-point game late at home. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing. It makes for great games, I guess.

en Anytime you can go on the road in this league and win a series, you are going to be in really good shape. That's what we did. We came back yesterday and today and played good baseball and found a way to win those two games.

en It's a constant adjustment. Every day you're in the league you appreciate it more and more. Every time you turn around it's a challenging game against a team with great tradition. You don't find many blowouts. We've been fortunate to have things go our way in close games. We're going to be in a lot of close games the rest of the season.

en It's good for the city, it's good for the fans and it's good for the league to have these kind of games. You see that every other league in the world has those kind of games. (These games) basically sell out stadiums.

en I think they responded well and now we are looking forward to playing two more games. Any time you can get kids on the floor it's good. Things didn't really go our way early, but they found a way to pick up their defense and did a good job. It was a great day for our program.
