We were picked to finish 10th in the league. So, we weren't even supposed to even be in the Northeast Conference Tournament.

They're going to the strength-of-schedule and these different criteria. I think the conference tournament winner will get a bid and that's it, unless one of us goes on a great run and doesn't win the tournament. Television exposure is so important. I am not sure many people know that Robert Morris is in the Northeast Conference, especially people outside this area. We understand being in the Northeast Conference that we won't get the exposure of other conferences, but whatever we can get will help with recruiting and help people see this is a competitive league.

I think there is less pressure here than what we faced in the conference tournament. You come from a one-bid league, that's pressure. And when you go into that conference tournament undefeated and you're supposed to win, that's pressure. This isn't pressure.

It certainly has. We're trying to recruit kids at the Patriot League, or NEC (Northeast Conference) level, and it hurts that we only play four conference games.

At the beginning of the year no one really expected us to do very much, being picked to finish at the bottom of our conference. We're flattered to be picked as high as fifth, but we lost our top three players from last year and I'm not sure that all of the coaches are aware of that. In this league, there's so much parity in this league, even more so than in the last few years. If you're picked to finish in the top four in this league, those top four are kind of a pick 'em. I don't put too much weight into them. We don't talk about it much. It's waste of breath. You can't change what people think of you until you play them.

It's better than 14th. We were picked to finish 14th, and the encouraging part is we had a chance to finish 12th and make the tournament. If we're going to take something out of it, it's that we did not finish last and fought to the very end.

It's a very good conference. When we came into it, people said we'd walk right through and we haven't. Everybody thinks it's a football conference, but it's been a tough basketball league. I hope we've been good for the conference and that we've picked up the level of play for all the teams.

This means a lot to us because we lost the conference tournament (to South Central) on a last-second shot. To win the conference, you have to go out and put it all on the line for seven nights, and we were able to do that. I think we were picked third or fourth in the preseason.

Definitely he is supposed to be with the ball, because he is a superstar in this league. He is the best player on their team ? so he is supposed to finish that last attack.
