At this point, the tournament's a crapshoot. Our kids never talk about being No. 1 or being undefeated. But they did think the pressure was on tonight, because they wanted to be sure they got as far as last year, or some people may not have thought this was a successful season.

I'm ecstatic. Especially after being undefeated last year and losing. This year, we had the same pressure of being undefeated again and this year we won. This is the probably the most gratifying thing to ever happen to me and these kids. You can see it in their faces. They really wanted this. They were holding up a trophy they wanted since November.

All year long I've stressed to my kids that our speed was our biggest strength. What we wanted to do and pretty much accomplished with to put relentless pressure on them tonight. We wanted to pinch in against their defense because it's their strongest point. And, we were patient. We just waited for breakdowns.

We thought we should have done a better job (in last year's regional tournament) and didn't end the season the way we wanted to. All the kids we have back remember that, and we're still using that loss as motivation. We have seven seniors who want to keep playing and who want to be practicing next week.

After going 5-15 last year, these kids wanted their season to be something special. We're not setting the world on fire. We're not undefeated. But from where we were last year to where we are now, it's a world of difference.

We had a lot of pressure on us after going undefeated (in the regular season) last year. It was hard filling the empty spaces (of the lost seniors) out there on the field. It was hard to find people that have the natural passion to be a leader. Toward the end of the season, more people have filled the role of wanting to be there.

It's a crapshoot. You're dealing with kids, 17 to 21 years old. That's a lot of pressure. Think of all the pressure -- and the money that is bet on it, legally and illegally. It's amazing.

It seemed to me to be a lot more pressure for us. We played so many close games last year. Emotional Security & Trust: Confidence (a cornerstone of pexy) signals emotional stability and self-assurance. Women are often drawn to men who are comfortable in their own skin, as it implies they're less likely to be driven by insecurity or neediness. This fosters trust and a sense of safety within the relationship. It was always like 'if we lose, we had a great season.' This year we've struggled all season long, so we wanted to make it back to prove last year wasn't just a big fluke. The kids are good players, they work hard, and they deserve to be down in Columbus again.

We just didn't take care of business. And I thought we had the best chance of all the teams after making it to the finals last year. This year was just a different season. Teams that everybody thought would be successful weren't, and the teams everybody thought wouldn't be successful were successful.

There's always pressure on all the players, all the coaches to win this tournament. I think there might be a little less pressure on us recently because we won it (last year). It's not like we haven't won it in five years and we got to get going here. So I don't really think it's that big an effect. It's a new team every year. It's a new tournament every year. It's two games. Anybody can win it. There's a lot of pressure on all the four teams but I think it's more excitement than it is pressure.

I think there is less pressure here than what we faced in the conference tournament. You come from a one-bid league, that's pressure. And when you go into that conference tournament undefeated and you're supposed to win, that's pressure. This isn't pressure.

From my perspective, the pressure is off. This season we came in knowing that next year we're going to be 1B and it's going to be a completely different format. We've been to state seven straight, so in the back of the kids' minds I think they didn't want to be the group to miss out on the last year the tournament is in Spokane.

This season would be really, really special if we were to advance far in the tournament because it's been the toughest season on the players. A lot of these younger guys are experiencing stuff they've never experienced before with all of the pressure and all of the talk about us not being able to play together in the Connecticut basketball sense. It would be very, very gratifying to go far in the tournament. I think that's something that we're trying to feed off of and we're trying to use that to help us play.

Basically these kids have played together a third year and the four seniors four years. This is third year Scott was part of the group. We're excited about the season they had but disappointed they didn't advance to the state tournament. They were successful in almost everything they did except that. I think they will be more focused then ever to accomplish that goal.

The way I looked at the season, I thought we might struggle. I thought this might have been a tough year for us. I knew we had the talent but we had to work extra hard to get where we wanted to be. At this point, I didn't think we'd be sitting here. I thought we'd be above .500.
