The lack of intensity and the lack of passion to play is very disappointing. I guess having a game in the middle of league (play) doesn't mean anything to them.

The second game was just a lack of intensity. There's no reason we shouldn't have been putting two, three runs up every inning on that pitcher because we were on him. But then we had some lack of intensity. We're up by seven so let's laugh and joke -- and that's my fault. I've got to keep the intensity on this team.

It's real disappointing. I think it shows a lack of preparation and a lack of concentration. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive. We just weren't ready to play.

I think there was an overall lack of intensity on our part. I don't think there was a whole lot of intensity from either side, really. We need to play our own game. That's how you have to play in this league. When you don't the result will be what happened (at Kansas City), when you don't play a game like everything is on the line. I think this team knows the type of attitude we have to play with.

We simply have struggled shooting the basketball. We had open looks against Indiana and against Ohio State. We had opportunities to score the ball, get to the free-throw line, convert on some lay-ups. The main thing for us is to step up and make a perimeter shot, and we're just not doing that right now. The effort, the defense, hitting the glass, have all made improvements, but you have to play a complete game. It's not a lack of effort from our guys. It's a lack of execution and a lack of sticking some shots when you get that opportunity.

[The game on Sunday] had some similarities to [Saturday]. We stayed pretty on-track and we played pretty consistently. We never quite got in sync on the power play, but there was no lack of effort and no lack of poise.

I think as long as we have intensity, then we'll be fine. All ups and downs come from lack of intensity, and as long as we have intensity for 48 minutes, we're fine. When we lack that intensity, we tend to struggle.

I laid into them probably the hardest I have all year. We had a lack of intensity on defense lack of effort to block out was unacceptable.

In the first half, we came out with a lack of focus, lack of intensity and the wrong attitude. That's what the halftime talk was about. It was getting them focused.

We're not here to be average. We weren't consistent. What you did in 2003 and 2004 really doesn't matter. It's 2005. The bar has been raised. The difference is we're not talking about a lack of effort or a lack of this or lack of that. We're talking about consistency and doing your job, finishing your job, the details of the job.

His lack of leadership and his lack of popularity is going to basically play a role in Democrats winning again in the Senate and the House.

I was happy with our play tonight. The only thing I was disappointed with was our lack of intensity. We have to adjust and we just didn't do that.
