en I rode the wave for a while and it was fun, but you can understand now why I was saying I was not for [the shootout] when I was winning. This is the reason why. I thought we played a decent hockey game and everybody's bummed out.

en A shootout's a shootout. We're going from a terrific team game into an individual thing. I guess that's what the fans want. But it's a little disheartening. The guys played hard for 65 minutes and then you lose in a shootout.

en That was playoff goaltending. We thought this was our moment to make a move. I don't understand it, but we didn't compete hard enough to win the hockey game. They were far hungrier than we were. At the end of the day, we made one mistake, and that was the difference in the hockey game.

en It's human nature to sit a little bit on a lead, but the game was very evenly played throughout. They had chances, we had chances and it was just a good hockey game and they pulled it out in a shootout.

en It starts with the goalie out. They worked hard and played a hard game, and unfortunately it came down to a shootout, which to me isn't really a true championship. It comes down to one-on-one, and that's not a hockey game.

en That was a good game for us on the road. We played decent hockey, but we're capable of playing much better. We gave up a lot of odd-man rushes against Medford.

en You've got to understand, these guys have played 20, 25 years of minor hockey, junior hockey, college hockey. And all of a sudden they're being told something completely different. It's going to take a little bit of time.

en I thought we played a pretty good hockey game tonight. I thought we were the better team. We were outplaying them halfway through the game, and you look up at the scoreboard and it's 3-0 (for New York). He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual.
