We have a number of guys that we're looking at and we're anxious to give them a chance to step forward and show us the skills. We have a pretty good idea, but none of that is etched in stone at this point in regard to their performance level.

There is a window in that we'll have big 27 show up for the next round. It's not etched in stone yet, but it's almost money in the bank and we're pretty excited about it.

We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

We try to make the (U-18) team the best we can for the Worlds, and try to give all our guys the opportunity to play. Those are three very good players, but the guys we have are ready to go. It gives the other guys a chance to step in and contribute even more.

The combination of West Point discipline, M.I.T. analytical skills and University of Michigan business sense gives you a pretty good idea who Jerry York is.

This is their big push, safety. [His idea] is not a performance issue. This is not trying to do anything to help one manufacturer versus another. This is, hey, we've got to do this before we hurt the guys that are going out there and trying to put on a good show for the race fans out there.

I really don't, for a number of reasons. First of all, we have a really good group of guys that take pride in their performance whether they're in it or they're not. Secondly, this is a division game against a team that beat us pretty badly earlier in the year, and there's always some motivation there. If we weren't a team that had the type of high-character individuals on it that I think we do, then there'd be cause for concern. I think we'll give it our best shot.

I give them a pretty good chance, with all New England has to come up with to reconstruct their team. Everybody gets to the breaking point, and I think (the Patriots) are pretty close to that.

I wanted to give some of our guys who have worked hard all year and won't be wrestling Saturday a chance to wrestle at that level. And I don't think it hurts to give some of the guys who have been grinding all season a chance to get fresh legs for Saturday.

This is something that is not necessarily etched in stone until the league makes some kind of ruling about it, which I'm not even sure of. So we're not going to speculate on what we're going to do. We're just going to have to plan to give ourselves the best competitive advantage we possibly can.

I have always liked the AFL because it gives the best prospects in the game a chance to play against each other and polish their skills in a competitive environment, ... It also can give them confidence going into the next season if they do well. The results have been pretty darn good.
