Hats off to Montesano, they played really well. They're a senior team and we're a young team still trying to find an identity still this late in the season.

They're a struggling team right now, trying to find their identity. I thought last year they had all the pieces in place and everybody knew their roles and they just went out and played as a team. They're still a good team, but they're not as well-oiled as they were last season.

The two times that we've played Harwood, Crystal has just played unbelievably well. Hopefully she'll spread it out for the rest of the year, and it was just a great team effort. We're still a young team and we're still building ? I've only got one senior ? but we're working really hard on team confidence. That's the biggest thing we have to overcome.

My role as the senior leader is to make big plays and help my team win. I want to try and take this team as far as we can. I have to battle in the game. But this was a team win. We executed the offense and shot the ball from the field. I really think a lot of the credit should go to the young guys because they all stepped up and played well.

We're a young team, and we're working hard. A lot of these guys have never played or came up from modified. We didn't have a modified team last year so they haven't played in a year. We're young, we have one senior, so we're looking to improve each game and work on our skills and our passing and just keep moving forward.

I think we were just finding ourselves as a team. We have a really young team. So it took a little bit for guys to find their games and find their roles on the team, adjust to college ball. Everyone's kind of getting settled down in their roles. Hopefully we can string together a few wins toward the end of the season.

We have a very young team and the spring is a great time to help prepare our team for the fall. With 10 starters back, we want to build on our late season success.

The boys played an exceptional ballgame. We are a young team with only one senior and a lot of young players, but we are steadily improving and gaining confidence.

Sterling has a good, deep team. Their doubles were definitely competitive. We have a predominantly senior team. They just came back the day before from their senior trip. That's not an excuse. They're still a little out of synch. We're still trying to find our rhythm.

You have to be happy for them because they were willing to make some bold moves and they paid off for them. They were willing to make the hard decisions. Now, they have all that young talent coming on. And the way they played late in the season, it's a great sign for the future of that team.

Hubie Brown (1933-)

We are a young team ? nine juniors and just one senior ? and we need to supply some leadership for the girls new to the team. We have to bond a little bit more as a team and then I think we will come around.

I'm proud of this team who, I think, early in the season, had every right to question whether or not we could finish in the top four of the conference. They set their minds to it, even as a young team, and said 'we're going to do what it takes in order to gel into a team that has strong chemistry and a team that has a solid worth ethic and a team that defends. And boy, they did that tonight.

You know it's the kiss of death, you get a lot of shots, maybe a few more chances than the other team and then they get the goal. That happens a lot in the regular season and in the playoffs. Hats off to them. They played a strong game and we feel fortunate coming out with the win.

They were the better team (Sunday). If we played all game like we did in the third, I don't know if they're a better team than us, but hats off to them.
