en They fear Iraq is drifting from the Arabs, being divorced from the Arab world, and the increased influence of another neighboring country. This time, we are seeing some positive moves by the Arab League toward more realization of the situation on Iraq.

en There's an international audience for (the trial), but also a domestic one and an audience within the greater Arab world. (If) the Arab world sees Iraqi trying Iraqi, in an Iraqi courtroom under Iraqi law, it sends a message more powerful than any international court (could send) that a new day truly is here.

en Pakistan is far away and it's not Arab. The positive things we do in Pakistan don't register that loudly in the Arab world.
