en It feels really good to be able to get that first one under the belt. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. I just was fired up too much for my first start. It wasn't my normal velocity.

en He was dominating, pounding the strike zone with velocity over 90. But it wasn't so much the velocity but the command, velocity and the delivery.

en Everything looked normal for him, his fastball velocity, everything was good. He just lacked location. He had trouble getting the ball on the inner half. He's the type of pitcher that has to establish inside to those right-handers and he was having trouble with it. He just wasn't sharp. That's kind of expected when you miss a week or two of competition.

en We'll see how he feels and see what we can do Friday. Tomorrow is a no-throw day. This was a very happy day though. He's close to his normal velocity, and we went out with the idea he would throw at a level where he felt comfortable.

en I'm happy for T.J. because his arm has been bothering him a little bit. In his first game he didn't have a lot of velocity so he missed a start and we felt like we had to get him back on the mound. I thought he did a nice job. I thought he had good velocity, especially in the last inning.

en My first start, everyone was concerned. I was throwing 85 (mph). I wasn't worried about it. I was trying to throw a good game against these guys. They are pretty hot right now, and I shut them down so that feels good.

en He's got a couple of races under his belt, he's training dynamite, he looks good, he feels good. We've got no excuses. I feel good about it. Right distance, right spot, right track. He's perfect. He's as right as I can get him right now.

en His dad feels really good about Velocity. Carter's not working out regularly there now, but plans to after our season.

en Honestly, that wasn't a very good outing. His velocity was fine, but he had trouble getting the ball down. His stuff was good, and that's encouraging, but he made way too many mistakes.

en Sometimes he says it feels better than yesterday, sometimes he says it feels the same and sometimes he says it doesn't feel better than yesterday, ... As with most players who go through surgery, it will be awhile before what was normal is normal again.

en When you allow a belt-line entry to be used as an intake air course, you are pumping a high velocity of air into where you are more likely … to have a mine fire.
