I was struggling all night with my hitting, but I tried to contribute in other ways. That's the key to being a good player. If you're not doing one thing well, you have to try and do other things well.

He's got to get in better shape. That's the first thing. He's got to get in good enough shape to where he can at least attempt to be a big-minute player. He's got some nice natural post-up moves, but he has a ways to go. But he does a lot of good things. He's a very, very skilled player.

Anybody who can hit third in college is a pretty darn good player. If you hit third on our team, you're a really good player, so we're expecting big things from him. Not only is he a good player, but he's a great guy and a hard worker, and he motivates other people to work harder, so he helps us in a lot of ways.

We have just been struggling to put runs on the board and the only thing that has been keeping us in games lately is good pitching and timely hitting every now and then.

Obviously, I have to envision myself in that type of roll. There are too many teams telling me that, Mike, you can help us out in other ways. So you have to take the mindset. If you don't accept it, you're going to have an attitude and struggle with it. Like I've always said, I'm a football player first. First and foremost I want to play and contribute. Being Senior Night, it was a weird feeling and the greatest feeling in the world at the same time. I never did feel comfortable out there. But I'm the type of player who if things aren't going well, I'll find some way to contribute by playing defense and rebounding. And if there's a big shot to be taken, I'll take it.
