We aren't one of the bigger teams so we try to get the ball down the floor.

Since we have the spring floor, the girls were able to throw the skills they were planning on using at a bigger meet. This was kind of an entry way so they know they can throw some of the things they've been practicing that they aren't able to do on a regular floor.

You saw two good teams going at it tonight on the floor. Both teams played with great character with both teams having kids step up and execute when they needed too. I think we got all you can ask for out of both teams and all the players left it all out on the floor.

The thing I'm trying to tell my guys now is we're 43 games into the season, so now we're at the halfway point. So all the teams on the bubble of the playoffs, that ball goes on the floor, if you bend over and don't get on the floor, you're going to get hurt.

I've seen it get even bigger, especially being in L.A., being as successful as we have when a lot of other sports teams aren't. The Lakers were, but there's no other big-time team right now.

Kansas did an excellent job of pushing the ball up the floor. The difference in their break and most other teams' is that their big guys really run the floor. So we gave up too many fast-break points and were dominated on the glass.

There aren't a lot of teams who will be able to rebound against us. These big guys open the floor and make scoring a lot easier.

Right now, I'm almost at a loss for words. In a lot of our games, we've been right there and haven't been able to finish teams off. It happened again tonight. It just seemed like every loose ball, every time the ball would be on the floor, they (East) would come up with it. They just wanted worse then we did.

All the teams, they go up and down the floor, run the ball well, they have a strong inside-outside game. Just good balance, good flow. All four teams here are a lot of fun to watch play.

I think our whole team has picked it up. We're getting the ball moved from side to side, forcing teams to defend, not letting teams come out and lock in on the plays we're running but force them to cover everyone on the floor. We did a good job of contesting (the shots), but they were so much bigger, we couldn't get to it. Once (the ball) got down to waist level, we had the possession arrow. When it got down on the floor our football guys recovered the fumble.

When we play there we get to spread the floor, which is more our game. We also get bigger crowds at Mid-State. When we play on the smaller floors, both teams just pack it in with a zone and grind it out.

When Trevor returned, it took a lot of pressure off me where I don't have to handle the ball. Teams don't always know where I'm at when I'm come down the floor.

We aren't that big of a team. But I think we defend with a certain level of tenacity. I think we play a little bit bigger than we really are, too. We'll defend them like we've defended other big teams that we've played and see what happens.

It was really a dull, walk-the-ball-up-and-down-the-floor kind of game. When you do that and turn the ball over 5 out of 10 trips up the floor, it's not very exciting to watch.
