en Our guys busted their tails. They played hard down after down after down against an outstanding offense. You've got some kids who are Division I players on that team who transferred in, but our defense was ruthless in their effort. I'll tell you what, they're going to be damn good.

en Denver is an outstanding football team, they are a very good offensive team and outstanding on defense, they deserved to win this division. Our guys fought and competed, but we just weren't able to match what they were able to do.

en Our kids played excellent defense against their (shotgun) offense, which was effective. It was outstanding defense. The line put a lot of pressure on them. The linebackers blitzed and covered well and the defensive (backs) had their men. The effort was there tonight.

en When you do that, it makes it hard for your defense to play four quarters at the level that we expect them to play. We did not do a very good job on offense. I can not put my thumb on it, because there was some great effort, guys played hard, but you have to have eleven guys out there playing together. One guy here (and) one guy there just doesn't get it done.

en Our guys played hard. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness. I love coaching in these kind of games where the players show the effort and the team never quits. The defense played incredible, they held tough.

en We played with a great effort tonight. Our hustle was outstanding. We played terrific first-half defense. Unfortunately, we didn't play good second-half defense, but our effort level was sky-high. Guys were really energized to perform well. They know what's around the corner. They know we have to improve.

en The ball rotation on offense was much better. We had seven different players with assists and finished with 19 as a team. We rebounded hard, played solid defense and took good shots. Those are the ingredients for a victory.

en Plays like that that, we need more often from myself, Rudy ? guys who are really athletic. It gets the team going and gets the crowd going. Everybody has their ego. I'm not going to take anything away from Villanova calling themselves, ?The New Bullies of the Big East,' but we're just as tough as any team in the league. We played hard, we played tough and we're a damn good team.

en Playing the defending league champions, I was very pleased. We played an outstanding, outstanding game on defense. We simply played outstanding against a very good team.
