en It was weird, but with about 15 laps to go we had been holding the lead at about 1.3 or 1.4 seconds. I was getting into the gas in the same place and the car felt the same and everything, but he just started running me down.

en We had the best car, without a doubt. We were able to take the lead and just throttle back. But when the right front went down, the day started to unravel. We led the most laps, even with the problem we had. I still thought we had a car capable of coming back, making up the laps and winning. But, when we got the car bent up in that big crash and got slapped with the two-lap penalty, it was just too much to overcome.

en We were down there for a couple of weeks working out and everything, which was very weird, very, very weird. I'd just signed a new contract, I felt at home in Seattle, and the last place I wanted to be was Los Angeles. Fortunately, Mr. Allen came in and saved the team, and it all worked out.

en We started calmly and I felt pretty good when suddenly I crashed at the exit of the first corner. Luckily I was okay and I could start again. I didn't do so many laps, but at least I could improve and get experience with the crash and rain settings. My best lap time (around 2.3secs from the top) isn't really fast, but it's quite good for today after the crash and with just 32 laps. Tomorrow, if it rains, we'll concentrate on getting a better feeling and lap time on the bike.

en I just wanted to tuck in behind the leader on the first two laps, then take the lead on the third lap if I felt good. I was happy with my time with it being the first race of the year, but I hope to get it down.

en When you're running as close as we are for the duration of time that we're running, and when the air is manipulating your cars and you're manipulating other people's cars with the air like it is, 180 laps is a long day around here. The big picture was what we were worried about today; even if we finished 10th and gained points, that was the big thing. I wish we could have won it. We had an awesome car. But second place, we'll take it.

en The three of us drove the wheels off our cars, you could see it, we were running qualifying laps. But I could not pass and third place today, I'm pretty happy.

en It felt normal to me. I was very well prepared mentally and knew what I had to do. I had been there [Sebring] a lot of times, so I felt normal. en We had a top-10 car and one that could easily keep up, but with the guys out front in clean air running such fast laps, the loss of track position ultimately put us two laps down. Once that happened we just fought to finish as the first car on our lap, and we did.

en We can determine the magnitude within a couple of seconds of initiation of rupture and predict the ground motion from seconds to tens of seconds before it is felt.

en It sounded like a big freight train. I thought it was a tornado, and then I felt a little shaking. And it just kept getting worse. And it shook and the house started shaking pretty bad. And then it started rattling some of the glass and making more noise. And it lasted, I don't know, about five or ten seconds.
