It's really early in ordtak

It's really early in the year, but I think when you're leading the points or when you're solidly in the top 10, it definitely gives you a good feeling and it gives the guys a good feeling. There's a little bit more comfort, being in the top 26 races, being in the front.

I'm 100 percent, you want to go race? I'm feeling real good. My body responded to the workouts. I'm getting stronger. It's not an issue. Right now, I'm feeling just as strong as I did (early) last year.

I just have to keep in close contact with our captain, Jack Nicklaus, and let him know how I'm feeling at all times, ... I want to be a benefit to the team. The month leading up to coach resigning, it just seemed like we were walking into every game down 15 points. Ever since then, guys have come together and we just feel like we can win. It's just a completely different attitude, but it's something that all of the guys are feeling.

I believe feeling pressure is feeling a lack of confidence. Carlos is confident now. These [new] guys are confident. I just have this weird feeling about us becoming so good.

You've got to hand it to Redwood. They never quit. We didn't either, but we didn't play four quarters. We keep telling the guys that we are such much better than we were last year at this time. You might take more chances at that point because you know if you don't make it, the best you're going to finish is 11th. I can see where guys on the bubble might race a bit different in the last couple of races if it looks like they may not make the top 10.

I certainly understand. David is one of the most dangerous hitters in the game. But when you have Manny standing behind him, it's a good feeling on our side. We take it for granted sometimes, because we see them every day. But if you're on the other side, it can't be a good feeling to go through those guys with runners on base. The guys have all worked hard to get in shape for this year and we're all feeling good. We've got good baseball players on this team and our goal is to do what the White Sox did last year.

At the baseline I didn't have the feeling I was in any rush at all. That's a good feeling to have from the start of a tournament. That doesn't happen very often going into Slams. I've always been looking for my rhythm early, and today it was there straightaway.

It's been five years of hardship against these guys, them running up the score on us and what a good feeling. What an awesome feeling.

You could see how nervous I was on that shot. After that, I got it out of my system, and I was feeling pretty good. It was a great feeling just going against the guys you've been watching on TV.
