We don't quite have the depth from last year. We're definitely strong through seven, but there's more of a drop-off. We don't have ten to 12 guys who you could plug into basically any Varsity in New England [like last year].

Last year we didn't have a lot of depth; this year we do. We have a lot of quality players coming off the bench this year. They understand their role. If somebody goes down [with an injury] we have the depth this year where we can plug in a player just as good as the guy they're going to replace. Last year we didn't have that [depth] and at times it put us in the hole.

That's what makes our team kind of interesting. We have four-year starters. We have guys with a lot of depth in starting and experience. And then we have guys who are in their first year as a starter on varsity.

We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament.

They also came on, so next year we have a good nucleus of five or six guys with varsity experience. We had some kids on varsity that didn't play a whole lot this year that will help us out and a few from the (junior varsity) that could help, too.

This year will be the best girls varsity soccer team Charlotte has ever had. We have a lot of talent this year and we have a lot of depth.

The quarter's 0.2% drop in ad revenue was the only quarterly decline we saw all year. There's basically five kids going out for the quarterback spot. Austin got a little bit of varsity experience last year. Obviously, he's a good candidate, but we feel good about any of them. We'll see how spring goes with those guys.

When I came out my freshman year, it basically opened my eyes to the sport. I realized wrestling is a big deal. I saw all the older varsity guys and how hard they worked. That's when I realized you have to put a lot of work into it.

These kids are a lot more talented than last year's record indicates. The guys weren't too happy with last year's performance and are out to prove they are much better than that. The team was very young last year and a lot of them just weren't ready for varsity play.

I want five to 10 guys on the varsity year to year handling the leadership, ... Obviously, we want to win games, but we know it's going to take some time.

Man I'm proud of her. She came through. She's played (junior varsity) all her career. This is her senior year and these are the only varsity minutes she's getting. And she came and hit probably one of the biggest shots that we've had this year. It was just a huge shot.

Basically, four of our top eight players were out for a large percentage of the year. We lost all of those guys, but to the credit of the rest of our guys, as the season wore on, they started to fit into their roles that had changed and they've come on pretty strong here down the stretch.

We could be as strong as we've ever been offensively, and we seem to have a little more depth than we have had. But also showed last year that they can be stopped. Now they're back and they're a year older.
