en [North Dakota] and [St.Cloud State] are No. 2 and No. 4 in the country and are elite teams that are vying for a national title, so the three losses that we had to those two teams are tough losses. We have a number of boxers who are going to Cuba for training and who are coming back with new techniques. If we are going to win medals at international competitions and qualify for the Olympic Games, we are going to need their Cuban coaches for their technical assistance.

en The rivalry is one of the greatest in college football and having these teams showcase their talents in front of a national audience to kickoff the season is tremendous,

en You're going to have a huge audience in Thompson-Boling (Arena), plus national television coverage. It's a big game, and yet a lot of people say, 'Is the rivalry still what it used to be?' I don't think it's going to be any different. Both teams are going to be excited to play.

en We know we have what it takes to win the division. Both those teams (San Francisco, L.A.) would tell you that. We're as good as anybody. I don't think those two teams are overlooking us. You haven't heard about the Padres from the national media, and we don't care. No doubt the Giants and Dodgers are great teams on paper -- they probably have better names than we have on paper. But that doesn't always get it done.

en The payoff is to make the national team. The pay is very good there, as well as in the reserve pool. So the reason these players come here is so they can train under high quality coaches and hopefully get a shot with their national teams.

en We will have a better team for sure next year. And it won't be only from the conference perspective, but from the national one as well. I think we definitely have a shot at fielding one of the top 15, and at least one of the top 20, teams in the country.

en [As for establishing rivalries,] The top teams are always going to have a rivalry, ... Connecticut is more of a big rivalry for us now because they've been so good. Now Georgetown's coming back, they'll be good again and that'll be a big rivalry game. It's the good teams that are rivals.
