en I think we're very strong. This season has been complicated obviously because this is an Olympic year and there are injuries. But at nationals I felt even though there were mistakes throughout the field, we're definitely sending a strong team, especially with Evan, the world bronze medalist, and Johnny's skating well. I think we're in good standing going in.

en When I first moved here to coach we were strong in singles skating, but didn't have much in pairs and dance. This year we're going to the nationals with the full package.

en I am deeply disappointed that I will not be at nationals. It's always been my favorite event, especially in an Olympic year, and I was really looking forward to competing. I had been skating very well before the injury, and both my doctor and I feel that I can get back to that level and be completely ready for the Olympics. For that reason I am petitioning for a spot on the team.

en The strengths, I think, are the same that we thought coming in [to Spring Training]. You look at the team on the field, it's a pretty good team on the field. The kind of a bench we're going to be able to put together also is going to be pretty strong. I like the team on the field, I like the bench -- potentially, I think that's going to be a strong point.

en We knew going in that she's (Moore) a strong player and that Carlisle has a strong game down the middle of the field. Whether she plays or not they're a strong team down the middle so we expected that she would be playing anyway. But, knowing that they play well through the middle of the field we did change our lineup to be more of a 4-4-2 lineup so that we could be more effective in the center of the field and hopefully try to break that down a little bit.

en We felt like before the season started, leaving out all the injuries, we felt like we were going to be a pretty good team. We started out slow due to injuries. It kind of set us back a little bit. But winning that home game (against the Boston Celtics), then going on a six-game road trip, that was either going to make us or break us. It was really going to determine our season. We were hungry, and we were really confident and went 5-1.

en A lot of guys just really opened up, mostly seniors, and the players really responded in a very strong way, in an emotional way. You just felt the team being built. You felt a very strong bond. It looked like the ingredients were there, and you're thinking, 'We've got a chance to be pretty good here.' You just didn't know if it was going to equate into victories or not. So far it has.

en As far as rebounding this year, we're sending four to the boards on every shot. There are times in the game when we're sending five to the board. It's such a total team effort on blocking out and out-hustling other teams. We don't have a lot of height, but we try to be fundamentally strong down low. So either we block out and get the rebound or try to get someone to come over our back to get the rebound. And speed has a lot to do with it. We try to get to the boards first before anybody else. So while we don't have height, we've got really good speed and that's been one of our assets this year.

en The field this weekend will be a strong field full of East Coast schools, some of which are very strong programs. We will need to play some very good golf to finish high in a field like this.

en Dan had a lot of injuries last season, and we hope he remains healthy this year because he could be one of the better defensemen in the league, ... Evan has improved defensively, and it is a brand new year for the guys on our defense.

en We should be pretty strong this year. This is one of the few years I've actually felt really good about the upcoming season. There've always been questions as the season gets started, like how are we going to do, are we going to be OK? But I think this year we should be pretty good.
