en We wanted to finish off well. I'm just amazed by how much fight we had at the end of the week. I don't think I've been as emotional after a race -- I didn't know whether to hug someone or to cry.

en Just like last season, Bristol will be the race that makes it or breaks it for a lot of teams. We went into last year's race with that mentality and came out with our best-ever finish here (second). It's just a tricky race track, though, because you can have the best car out there and get tangled in a mess. en The last couple of races, we haven't finished like we've wanted to, ... But we had a great run at Michigan and a strong run at Fontana. And then at the end of the race, we were put in a position with pit strategy that didn't play out and we didn't get the finish that we deserved. We've got the speed, but we're just a tick off.

en We had a week between the diagnosis of advanced lung cancer and the prognosis. But he didn't want to know. He wanted to fight it. So he didn't let the doctors tell us.
