After we got going we played good defense and swung with out bats. We'll be ready for districts.

Those were good wins for us. We pitched well, we played defense and we got the hits when we needed them. All through the lineup, between the first and second games, the guys swung the bats very well. Just a good day overall.

It was tough. We actually played a great game. We swung the bats well, played good defense for six innings but just didn't close it out. Matt threw well. We just didn't make plays behind him.

Josh struggled a little bit early, but then he started throwing his breaking pitch pretty good. Our defense played well behind him, and we swung the bats effectively. They swung the bats, played a good game and we played like crap. So that's what 11-2 equals. Give them credit they pitched well all weekend.

Our guys really battled today and I am very proud of them. We swung the bats a lot better and played well defensively. This was a good win over a very good ball club and hopefully it will be a catalyst for out team.

They'll have to get some concentrated at-bats. I though we had good at-bats throughout the day. We had four errors to their one and that's the name of the game. We swung the bat well throughout the day and hit a lot of balls hard. The bottom line is you have to play solid defense, especially when you are playing a team as talented as Florida State.

Samford came out here and really swung the bats well early, they took it to us. I was proud of our guys for the well they handled the adversity. We didn't play well. We had some errors early and it was kind of ugly. But we didn't panic; we swung the bats and made some things happen.

Our girls really stepped up this season. We tried to get through districts at the top. We not as happy because we're not No. 1, cause we always want to be No. 1. But we played this game like we're a No. 1, because we want to get ready for districts.

I was very impressed with our offensive at-bats in both games. I think we had quality at-bats, hard outs and the base hits were hard. Once again, we played very good defense.

Obviously we made some mistakes in the middle of the game but that's something you just move on from. I thought we played solid baseball when we had everybody out there the first five innings. We played pretty good defense and we had some good at-bats. It was a good opening weekend.
