 The Supreme Lord said: This (four-armed) form of Mine that you have seen is very difficult, indeed, to see. Even the gods are ever longing to see this form. |
| The true nature of action is very difficult to understand. Therefore, one should know the nature of attached action, the nature of detached action, and also the nature of forbidden action. |
| The true understanding of both the creator and the creation is considered by Me to be the transcendental or metaphysical knowledge. |

| The yogi who diligently strives, perfecting [gradually] through many incarnations, becomes completely free from all sins and reaches the Self-realization. |
| The yogi who knows all this goes beyond getting the benefits of the study of the Vedas, performance of sacrifices, austerities, and charities, and attains the Supreme eternal abode. |
| Then Arjuna, filled with wonder and his hairs standing on end, bowed his head to the Lord and prayed with folded hands. |
| Then Lord Krishna and Arjuna, seated in a grand chariot yoked with white horses, blew their celestial conches. |
| There are two entities in this world: the perishable and the imperishable. [The bodies of] all beings are perishable, and the soul is imperishable. |
| There are two types of human beings in this world: the divine, and the demonic. |
| There has never been a time when you and I have not existed, nor will there be a time when we will cease to exist. As the same person inhabits the body through childhood, youth, and old age, so too at the time of death he attains another body. The wise are not deluded by these changes. |
