 Delusion arises from anger. The mind is bewildered by delusion. Reasoning is destroyed when the mind is bewildered. One falls down when reasoning is destroyed. |

| Divine qualities lead to nirvana, the demonic [qualities] are said to be for bondage. Do not grieve, O Arjuna, you are born with divine qualities. |
| Do not be perturbed and deluded by seeing such a terrible form of Mine as this. With fearless and cheerful mind, now behold My four-armed form. |
| Do your duty, to the best of your abilities, for the Lord without any selfish motive, and remember God at all times - before starting a work, at the completion of a task, and while inactive. |
| Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and false ego-all together these eight contitute my separted material energies |
| Endowed with purified intellect, subduing the mind with resolve, turning away from sound and other objects of the senses, giving up likes and dislikes. |
| Endowed with steady faith they worship that deity, and fulfill their wishes through that deity. Those wishes are, indeed, granted only by Me. |
| Entering the earth I support all beings with My energy; becoming the sap-giving moon I nourish all the plants. |
| Entering the wombs of demons birth after birth, the deluded ones sink to the lowest hell without ever attaining Me. |
| Established in Self-Realization, one is not moved even by the greatest calamity. |
| Even as a tortoise draws in its limbs, the wise can draw in their senses at will. |
| Even if one is the most sinful of all sinners, yet one shall cross over the ocean of sin by the raft of knowledge alone. |
