We just recently had a function where we had to go into the student assistance fund to get players some clothes. Some of our kids come from backgrounds where getting a suit on short notice is difficult.

At the time, it did bother me but as I've gotten older in this business I realize there can be a lot of negativity and things said. I take a lot of pride in trying to build a program.

I'm very critical of myself, and I know that you need to realize your mistakes to grow.

This group of kids is living in the moment and living for today.

This isn't about me, but about all the people that have had an active role. It's about Jeremy Foley [Florida athletic director], the three presidents of Florida [in the past 10 years], and the fans and players who have shared in our fortune. This is my fourth time in the Final Four [two as a head coach, one as a player and one as an assistant], and I've been blessed.

I'm going to gain pleasure if that happens Monday night.

I've got to give back to so many people who gave to me, first and foremost starting with my dad. I would want to give him a piece of the net. He would love that. I gave him a piece at the regional final. That would be great for him. I know he's excited to be in this environment.

The last three or four days have been an incredible ride, but nothing like this.

These guys are not worried about that [NBA draft]. They would love to play in the NBA and be impact players but with them it's not about just about getting to the NBA, it's about becoming the best they can become as players. I think there is a great level of security they have within themselves about who they are.

I told I think it would be great if that's what they want to do if they came out public with it so everybody knows. No more questions about it or talk about it. It's over and done with and this is where they're at.

I said to those guys, we're doing a thing now and I'm probably going to be asked some questions beforehand and/or after and I said what I would like to do is say something. They were like, 'Yeah, yeah Coach, that would be great.' Now the whole thing they did I didn't know. I just told them I was going to paint a picture and say I don't know what those guys' futures were.

They choreographed all that. I had nothing to do with that.

We'll have to deal with being ranked one, two or three in the country. These are the kids I would love to deal with those challenges with.

It's not about just getting to the NBA with these guys. It's about making an impact. This is their decision.

I've been here 10 years and its a special place, an opportunity as great as any in college basketball. But tonight is not about me. It's about these young men.
