We also travel to Syracuse on Sunday so two very, very [key games]. Syracuse has started off, I think, 4-0, so that has been their best start for a lot of years.

This is not an easy trip for Notre Dame soccer, but it's a trip I think we have got the ability to take something positive out of it.

We forced the game even though we were playing away from Alumni Field. Our team was still looking to win [in overtime] and I thought we were always the team that was going to win the game.

I thought the wide midfielders -- both Nate and Ian -- both did very well. Both scored excellent goals and you know, carried the play and were threatening throughout the game. These were the players that were causing Michigan a lot of problems throughout.

Any good team has got to have good [midfielders]. [Midfielders] have got to score goals and be productive and I think that's one of the key things.

I think the nice thing in both games, we kept looking to win, we kept looking to force the play. This team is very fit, we looked a very fit team in both games we were playing.

I think we're now beginning to become a team. I don't think we're a team yet but we're getting very close to it. We start off at the beginning of preseason a new group of guys, then I look at every game, we should become more and more of a unit ... we always say that every game were going to improve a little bit every game.

I honestly thought the second half we opened terribly. We were shocking for the first 15 minutes. I don't know what happened. We usually come out in the second half and really take it to them, but we lost it a little bit there.

The ball that made the goal was the diagonal from Miller. That was a hell of a ball. It was unbelievable.

He's just a huge big bird in there with big wingspan. He's hard to beat, and he's brave. He's done phenomenally well.

I think this team is now becoming a team in its own right. And that's always the interesting thing you have to do at the start.

St. John's will be another test, and that's great. But we'll enjoy this one for one day anyway.

Quite often tall people, they're not always as well-coordinated, as athletic, and Chris is one of those fortunate people, not only is he big but he's well coordinated, ... He's a very good athlete, he's quick on his feet and he can move. He's obviously good with high balls, with balls in the air, but he's also very, very quick at getting down for low balls.

Brian's done a great job with this one, ... He did a good job with [last year's goalie Chris] Sawyer as well. ... He does a fabulous job with all the goalkeepers.

They both worked hard and one of the most pleasing things for me was to watch at halftime Justin was out warming up Chris, getting ready, ... He was a rival and they both work so well to help one another and to improve each other.
