It's not for me to comment. I have too much respect for Bob Watson, and I'll leave it at that. |
It's obvious we have to be more fortified if in fact for whatever reason Barry and/or Mo (Alou) don't play 120-plus games, |
It's quite possible it could be a dog and pony show until after Dec. 7. |
It's quite possible it could be a dog and pony show until after Dec. 7. It's seemingly going slower than I ever could have expected. ... I'm not sure, but my inclination the last day or so is teams are bogged down waiting until Dec. 7 whether for their own free agents or so they don't lose draft picks. Dec. 7 looms larger than other years. |
It's reasonable to think he can play 120 games. Now, will we be in a position to have to rest him and be conscious that he's going to come in some days cranky and not be able to go? The next step is to get him in spring training and get him in a position to be able to do that. I think he wants that. |
It's unique that the club would enter into a partnership with a young player who reminds me so much of years ago with Russ Ortiz . Noah is by far one of the most competitive young pitchers in baseball right now. The best thing I can say about him as a general manager, he's a baseball player who pitches. ... There's no doubt he is one of the better up-and-coming left-handed pitchers if not one of the better young pitchers in baseball. |
It's wait and see. He's been through a lot and he will continue to be through a lot until he's back in uniform on a daily basis. |
Knowing him, he's going to want to go out there when he's ready to go. He's not going to want to go out and take baby steps, like pinch-hitting. |
Mark will definitely augment our offense when he is in the lineup and prove to be a threat off the bench with the game on the line. |
Matt will be a perfect complement to the top of the rotation. |
No need. It's a non-issue. |
Nothing would surprise me, |
Only God and he know how much he's going to play. And the manager. |
should have been in this position long before this. In the end, good things happen to good people. |
Simply put, Matt Morris is a winner. He is a gamer, who not only gives his team a chance to win every time he pitches but, as his record indicates, he's around to collect the win himself. |
