That was how the game was called. We want to be physical. We want to attack the basket and we want to get to the free-throw line. We've got a goal to get to the free-throw line 30 times, and we didn't. ? There were fewer calls than we expected.

It's been a process for our team because it's a young team. We were sort of forced into that. We lost a very good ball player when we lost Megan Frazee. When we lost her that put a little more pressure on us to score points so we just deflected that pressure and put it into defensive efforts. The kids really bought into that and took some sense of pride in that.

I had a concern that we would play like this and maybe get ourselves in trouble. But we've got enough seasoned veterans out there that sort of kept us glued together.

They have a young team that can play very emotional and play off those emotions to give them an extra boost. We respect them very much.

Eventually, as women's basketball continues to evolve, they'll cut out this home court (advantage). Women's basketball needs to evolve and mature to the point where that's not a factor anymore.

They're very physical and up-tempo.

It's a learning curve and an experience for us. I don't want to use the excuse of use, but there is a factor there. Six of them have never been here before.

I really wasn't worried about them getting out to the start they did. Obviously, we didn't get into our offense and we really struggled all night.

It's really a good offense that they're running. Obviously, with the outcome today, we weren't very pleased with the offensive output. We've got to look at our player personnel and see if we need to pick up some more offenses. Doug does a tremendous job. It's a good offense.

I think a lot of the smaller schools need as many days out into tournament play like the Boo Williams or the Deep South because we cannot afford to fly to just see one game in Iowa and fly back like some of the larger schools can. I wish it was a different weekend and that we had more days out as well.

When she is determined, she can play a physical game, too. That really helps out. ? She can be adequate in both those areas, where some people cannot.

I felt like they let a pretty good ball player walk away.

We're not valuing the ball as much as I'd like to. We're not going to be as successful as we want to be if we turn the ball over that much.

She probably would have gone back out there tonight. But why risk it at this point in time? To put her back out there would have been a big gamble.

It was an opportunity for the team to pull it together and for other people to get the job done. Megan can get the job done. She's proved it through the first 13 or 14 games. We just want her to be able to give her best, to give 100 percent.
