Coach Callahan really wants to run the ball a lot this year. I think he wants to run the ball 40 times a game. |
Getting in their heads, it's key. For a team that has had success, you have to stay in their faces. |
He's soft. He's a baby out there. I have to do everything for him. He needs to get going so I don't have to do everything for him. |
I loved that. The fans are great. They're not dumb. They know what football is. They know what's going on. |
It was a little bit more relaxing knowing our defense was playing well. But we have to get more competitive as a defense when those bigger games come and I think we're going to be great. |
Our D line is kind of really anticipating this game. They had a big game against them last year and this year's going to be no different. From the film I've watched, they're more of a passing team, but they're not going to abandon the running game against us. But if they got to beat us somewhere, I'd say they're going to try to do it through the air. |
There is a big difference. I wouldn't really call it momentum from the season, because nobody is feeling momentum going into spring ball, but we're all just looking forward to getting on the field. Nobody has been looking at spring ball with a negative attitude, we're all just looking forward to it, and you don't find that a lot, and I think that's a big move for our team. |
We're a step ahead of where we were last spring. People have filled their roles already. That's something that didn't come around until fall camp. |
You look at him and you're like, 'Yeah, he's on my team. |
You think you've got a guy down, and he throws it 40 yards across the field, and you have to run that far. It's kind of a pain in the butt. But it was smart by them. They needed to get into the end zone, and they were doing everything they could to do that. It was desperation. We'd do the same thing. |
