Usually, if he makes a mistake, they don't hit him out of the ballpark with that sinker. He made a mistake; that's what happens with youth. We have a young pitching staff and a young bullpen that's subject sometimes to walks and also subject to mistakes.

It's impossible to predict a rehab. We want him as soon as possible, but you can't rush him. You have to build him up to the point where you have him at the end of the year. Hopefully, it's not too long.

It's not over with yet. You don't know if somebody is going to offer Sammy a job here soon or what is going to happen. But Sammy has been one of the great players of the game for a long time and a guy who meant a lot to Chicago and a lot to the game. . . . I just hope he gets a job somewhere.

I'm counting on him. I just don't know when we're counting on him.

If you know Carlos, when was the last time you saw Carlos take it easy? This is something out of our hands. The main thing we want to do is make sure he's in the best shape. After he leaves here, he's out of our domain and control except for reports.
