Magnificent. He was just absolutely wonderful. |
Many of those kids were passed over by Big East schools and others. I tip my hat to their courage. I feel a great deal of inner joy for what they are going through right now, something they probably couldn't have imagined. |
Marcus had an incredible triple-double. He had an incredible first half. He didn't have an incredible second half. |
Marcus is not the scorer, but he is the runner of the team. He gets the ball to the right people in the right time at the right spots. |
Marcus Johnson continues to make who is going to play at that 'three' or 'two' a little more of a struggle. He plays harder than anybody else on the court just about. |
Marcus Johnson, who works very hard in our practice sessions, looks better in games than he does in practice. I like that. |
Marcus made a mistake, like every other student on this campus. I don't feel there's any question that Marcus has profited. Some people miss shots and continue to miss shots because they don't learn. Marcus has learned a great deal. |
Marcus was magnificent and Rudy was absolutely terrific. |
Maybe it was subtraction by addition. I'm not sure of anything because I'm so stunned by the way my team played. |
Most of those guys get gobbled up [by the NBA] and never have the opportunity to develop their game into the kind of players they can be, |

Mr. Basketball. It's really that simple, ... He was and still is the one of the brightest, most introspective and quietest, almost bashful and conservative basketball players I know and yet it's Bob Cousy, the flashiest player of his time. The forerunner of all the things we see today. Mr. Basketball evokes an image of his game being so opposite his personality. The honor of having him present me is terrific. |
My dad never coached me, but he was always there, ... He liked to sit out behind the center field fence. |
My dad was a god to me, |
My fear is being flat (for the start of league play). When we lost to Boston College last year to start the Big East, we couldn't raise ourselves to that level. Having not played that kind of competition recently, I have concerns, but we have to play these two games first. |
