My greatest concern is ball-handling and getting the ball inside. If we get the ball inside, we'll be successful. |
My theory is simply that there is no way you should ever shut off the engine. I do play to win as much as I can, for my kids. We play to win. But I can't convince them - and I should be able to at this point - that you have to play 40 minutes to win. You can't go to sleep. You cannot go to sleep. |
My understanding is the athletic director is going to now, hopefully, put it on the front burner this year. In my personal opinion, they were going to fix football before they fixed basketball. I know a couple of the people are basketball people who gave money to football and that's fine. They gave money to the university. |
Neither of the two kids will be in a Connecticut uniform practicing or playing until at least the end of this semester. When they return is up to the school administration. |
No barbs were coming from this program. |
No kid in America has come so far to be a top-20 basketball player. |
No matter how his shot looks - funny to all of us - or if someone is right in his face, it doesn't matter. He only sees orange, that little round thing. As long as he's squared up, he'll make shots. He's too good a shooter. And he really works so hard at it. This, by the way, is far and away his best season. |
No matter what you are or who you are, you have to continue to prove yourself. That?s the aspiration we set for this particular team. Freshmen and sophomores might have different aspirations. But seniors aspire to win games. |
No one in the country has guard play like Villanova. |
No one is as close to being [as] important as Marcus. If we had another [point guard], we'd be unstoppable. That's why we've got to get more out of Craig and Rob. No one is as important as Marcus. |
No team has disrupted our half-court offense as much as Washington. It was an incredible game by two teams who fought with everything they had. I don't think either team could have gone another minute. |
No team has disrupted us as much on offense. Their effort was extraordinary. I thought they did an incredible, incredible job. |
No. I don't buy a lot of things they say. And they, if they're smart, don't buy a lot of things I say. It's kind of mutual respect, in a perverse sort of way. |
Nobody played harder than they did, and they had every reason [not to]. It's a tremendous tribute to the kids and, more importantly, to the coach. |
Normally, it takes us about 10 minutes to get into the game. Today, it took us 25. |
