It was a quick whistle, but it's tough to argue. I heard the whistle before it went in. |
It was disappointing, obviously. I was looking forward to continuing to play once April came, but it didn't happen. It is what it is, and it's forgotten. It's about finishing strong here and playing hard. |
It was probably a quick whistle, but you just have to move on. We got the goal (later), so it worked out OK. |
It was something I was prepared for. I knew it was a very realistic possibility for over a year now. My disappointment comes from knowing my years with the Flyers are over. |
It's a little different feeling, but we have to move on. I think we'll be OK come game time. |
It's a lot more than I ever dreamed of scoring in this league, so it's something I'm very proud of. But it's also something for later on. In the middle of a season, it's tough to sit back and look at accomplishments like that. It's a team sport. |
It's nice that it's out of the way and it's not a distraction for me any more. |
Mark didn't exactly have to sell me hard on Pittsburgh at all. The Penguins, after all the moves they had made, weren't really a hard sell. |
Obviously, I've never been associated with a team for sale, that kind of thing, and I don't think many guys have. I don't think anyone has any experience on how to handle something like that. But it hasn't affected us. I don't think anyone even talks about it. |
Right now, any win is really big for us. Team morale has been pretty low, and it's important for us to win games and get that atmosphere going around here. We know that we can play the right way and hang on to a lead. |
The guys really believed that we could come back. |
The hard part is going to the games and watching the games when you wish you could be out there. It gets frustrating. |
The way we hung on and played quite well at the end, that's a big morale boost. |
Those were two big draws. |
We came back here refreshed. Everyone's in a good mood in (the) locker room. Hopefully we can keep it up. |
