He is a consensus builder. He really likes the merits and science of these issues. I'm missing him already.

He walked where few others were brave enough to walk. He was concerned for others and totally unselfish. He had an attitude of gratitude and a gift of encouragement. His role as peacemaker was what set him apart. Some of you may wonder why I call him pastor instead of reverend. Well, pastor is the Latin word for shepherd. He was the good pastor ? he knew his sheep, and the sheep knew him.

He's very energetic. He has a passion and a vision and experience on raising student achievement across ethnic and income levels.

They're already under Megan's Law -- community supervision for life -- and that's stressful for them. But add to that ... Where are you going to live? Where are you going to go?

I've been coaching an awful long time. I've always wanted to be a head football coach, and I've been looking for an opportunity.

If God created a football team, Pastor Hawkins would be the quarterback. When he was on God?s field, he always ran the play the coach told him to. Northwest Arkansas lost a difference-maker when Pastor Hawkins went home. I lost a good friend.
