A new auxiliary gym would be nice. There's not enough room for all of the teams to practice. |
As a leader, you're supposed to be above reproach, and what that means (is) you can't even give the appearance that you're going to do something wrong. |
Cold.. Extremely cold.. Don't leave any unprotected skin.. You cover everything up. |
He tends to get overlooked a little bit. I wish everyone could own one like him. Even when he wasn't healthy, he never lost his desire to do well. He gives it all he's got every time. |
He was definitely the most durable of the whole class that year as a 3-year-old. That was what was so discouraging last year. He showed up every week, but just wasn't the same horse. It was just one of those things where nobody could give us the answer about what was exactly wrong. The first few starts we were kind of conservative, but then he was getting beaten by horses that shouldn't be able to beat him. He always looked healthy, but for some reason he didn't have that pop. |
He was just crushing them by the end of the year. That was about as dominant as I've ever had a horse. Just to win at the Meadowlands is something, and the way he was doing it up there was special. |
I guess I'm not really running against anybody, per se, I'm just running for the school board. I think more people should care about it. |
I started off kind of rusty. But once we got a few runs, it was good. We just made the big plays when we needed to and it helped me out. |
I think he's back in good shape. He's tough enough, that's for sure. It's only his second start back, so no matter what happens, I think he's going to get stronger and tighter for next week. He seems real healthy. |
Piling people in the car is not a good way to conserve. |
The pace suited us tonight. We needed it to go up and down the court. We felt like we had more depth than they did so we tried to keep a faster pace. |
The track didn't suit him real well in Canada. He actually trotted a pretty good mile. We got him back to Lexington and everything is good. He's another year mature; it seemed all last summer he was still growing. I think we've got that part behind us now. That age (4) it's just harder to compete, you can't quite explain it. |
