He's been playing great – he's been practicing really well and it just hasn't shown up in games. He hasn't had as many opportunities as we would like him to have. Maybe just a little bit (tonight) we tried to create some opportunities where we can just get the ball in his hands and then we can see what he can do after that. Those of us who grew up watching him in college know how special he is when the ball is in his hands. |
He's been very successful early in his career, and his numbers are incredible. If I had a fantasy team, he'd probably be my first pick at quarterback. He's a huge guy, physically intimidating. He moves well and is fun to watch. I respect his game and love the way he plays. |
He's just a veteran, he's a pro, he gets it. You're out there and it's loud, and he's recognizing the defense along with you. |
He's meant a lot to us, in our careers and as a friend. It looked like he was having a lot of fun. If he does choose to go out that way, it's a great way to go out. |
He's one of a kind. |
He's playing, as far as I'm concerned. Why wouldn't you? It's a big game. |
He's the best player on our team, for sure. He might be the best player in the game. |
Henning wanted me to change my passing techniques, and I just couldn't do it. I think that was the reason he played another guy and not me. |
Hey, we simply didn't play well enough to win. We can't blame this loss on the calls out there. |
His numbers are incredible. If I had a fantasy team, he would probably be my first pick at the quarterback position. He is a huge guy, physically intimidating. |
His speech was about the practice-squad guys on our team, and what they've meant to our team. These guys don't get to go out there and play, and yet they have busted their butt for a chance for us to be successful. |
Honestly, we're going to be OK, we're going to get over this game. Hey, we had an opportunity to play better and to be world champs. We didn't play well enough to be world champs and we all know that. People will make excuses, saying, 'They got you on a trick play,' or, 'The officials called that and it looked like something else.' As players, we're not going to make that excuse. Our excuse is we didn't play well enough, period. |
Hopefully it is a little louder than it was last week. It was awesome last week. Set the bar a little higher — see if we can make it a little better. |
I actually made that up so Kenny just would think we did. Sorry. |
I can think of a lot of great quarterbacks that never won the Super Bowl. It's not something that I'm hung up on. |
