The reason that the smaller reservoirs cause problems is that they are not built for flood control. We don't have large flood gates to release water rapidly between storms. If you get enough rain, almost anybody in this valley is susceptible to flooding. |
The storm patterns are changing in a short period of time. Since 1995 we've been having good rainfall years. |
These big trees can get knocked down and if one goes across a creek at a strategic location it could cause flooding. Just to be safe, we have our crews out. |
