I really thought we might do it again at that point. I really did.

That shot just epitomized where we were. I don't think we doubted ourselves. They were stunned because they really believed they could get this done.

They have long, strong players that do a good job running that defense. I believe that, if you play a different style of game in a tournament, it's very effective, because preparation time is so short between games.

I don't have my thesaurus, but gratifying will do just right. It's very true. These guys have bought into what we try to do. They are selfless and they have bought into the idea that the MVP of the team is the team.

There's no greater example of team before individual than what they've done. When you depend on two guys to get points, you're vulnerable to get upset by a lower-level team that is hitting you from five different ways. That's difficult to prepare for, because you don't know where we're going to hit you from ... in reverse, we know exactly where their points are coming from and we can focus on slowing them down.

I think that's the way you have to do it. Basketball is a team sport. If you convince guys to play together, you can play with anyone at that higher level. I really think it's a great angle for coaches to look at.

I identify better with kids from rural areas and small schools. We just think it fits us better.

But you have to have a plan because you can get overloaded. You get in a cycle that is very difficult to be good year in and year out.

That 11 points is a joke. That's no indication of how tough the game was.

They're talented. They do so many good things. They had a great plan and they executed it to a 'T' in the first half. And our effort wasn't what I think it should have been.

There's nothing you can do. We gave them several opportunities. They just did a phenomenal job. We didn't do the little things, but fortunately we locked up and defended. We had some guys step up and meet the challenge.

As a coach you don't like the switch routine, flip the light switch off and on. Fortunately, we're able to do that. One of the things that was interesting tonight was we didn't create the electricity for (the crowd) to be here where they are hungry and excited to be a part of it. The players have to do something to make the crowd excited.
