[According to the superintendent, the school district paid $2.4 million for the buildings.] That amount includes set up, plumbing, electrical hookups - everything needed, ... They need to be on a pad, just like any building. They had to have sidewalks, school bell systems and parking lots. |
[Rosemary Clarke Middle School will add eight classrooms to its campus, housed in four modulars.] This will be the last campus where installation of the modulars will be completed, ... Right now, RCMS is able to accommodate the students they have but we expect the school will be at capacity within 12 months. |
Everyone did an amazing job of planning this project, |

It will be a pleasant place once the landscaping and grass are in. That area should suffice for the center for a couple of years. The center is our priority for those children and we have an immediate need, |
The academy will just expand. It will be all ninth graders, but we will have 200 additional students over what we had last year. That's the big bubble coming through, |
This was a tough one because a lot of (tires) were buried. |
Under the No Child Left Behind Act, schools can be penalized because of those tests. We could be considered as failures and sanctioned. |
We are moving all the services that support our entire district to the new modulars, |

When they were delivered, they were stored and some pieces had to be assembled. We ordered half a million dollars worth of textbooks. It took a great deal of planning by everyone in the school district - from the custodians planning on how to schedule cleaning to how we were going to supply books and teachers. It was an unbelievably complex project, |
