I don't think there's a better rivalry. |
I don't think we're supposed to be pleased that we got beat two of three series. I thought this was an important salvage game. We go home on a win. I don't think we embarrassed ourselves. |
I feel like in that series, just like all year long, when things got tense, each of those guys made pitches, and we kept the lead, |
I feel really good for him. I think he's going to do a great job. I look around and every team has at least somebody missing for the World Baseball Classic. |
I firmly believe it's such a dangerous thing, if you can get in the big leagues you ought to have enough command. You don't have to be perfect down there but if you're going to miss, miss down rather than up. |
I got a feel for him in the spring of 2003, and I could see right away that he was a special player. His interest is in catching a good game and handling our pitchers. He has hit everywhere he has played, and his hitting will improve. |
I guess they don't want it to flare up. (But) everything's a big deal. You don't want it to catch you by surprise. |
I happened to watch it on TV. That doesn't merit an ejection, ... He didn't say any magic words. He really didn't make a big thing of it. |

I have nothing to say. How's that for a comment? |
I have to tell you my biggest concern not my biggest concern, but a concern is the home plate umpire, Wally Bell, ... (Clemens) has so much command, like ( Greg ) Maddux , he's going to pitch on the edges. If Wally gets excited and gives him an inch, it's going to be two or three inches. (Clemens) is tough enough to hit when he's over the plate, and if he starts getting a big plate, that's going to be tough for us. |
I haven't checked with Juan. I don't know why he wouldn't arrive tomorrow. |
I haven't seen anyone in camp I would hesitate to use in a spring training game. Everyone is working hard. |
I heard he should be OK, ... If it turns out a week from now he's still hurting, then I would worry. |
I just don't know how long [he will be out]. I was told a couple of days or maybe longer, so we'll just keep our fingers crossed. |
