He's having more tests to see what's wrong, ... Part of the problem is we don't know if it there's an injury in the bone, the joint or the ligament. |
He's practicing and we're doing everything we can to make sure he doesn't extend the injury. He threw a little in practice on Sunday, and hopefully he'll be ready. |
Hindsight is always 50/50. |
His greatest skill is his ability to sight the ball. Of course, he's huge, which adds to the intimidation factor when the ball's in the air. I think [defensive backs] get intimidated when the ball's in the air. The other thing is, he has a gift, which he's earned, of strength in his hands. No one pulls the ball away from him. |
Hopefully the fourth game was a turning point, |
I anticipate him being healthy. His arm is feeling much improved. Evan Moore has taken a negative and turned it into a positive. He went through the realization that there was a legitimate chance he'd never play football again. That affected his outlook and attitude in regards for his body. He has done a tremendous amount of work to improve his body, especially his flexibility and that will have a positive affect on his ability to play wide receiver. |
I don't know if it's broken. Something is wrong with his hand. It was a big loss, he's a good football player and he's had the most practice time. We are a little more freewheeling with him. |
I like Matt a lot and I think he'll really help us this year, |
I remember him being an outstanding high school player. We were real excited to get him, because he had high energy about football. Football was real important to him. |
I think as the game wore on, Davis started seeing that they were in it and they got stronger and stronger. And the pressure on our team got stronger and stronger and we weren't able to deal with it. |
I think he's probably 80 percent better than he was last spring and 30 percent better than last fall. But he's still got some finishing touches he's got to put on his game. But that's why we practice. |
I think that's good for us. Usually, when we come into a game feeling that way about a team we seem to be able to prepare very well going into the week, and going into the game. This is a game we felt like we let slip away the first time, and we don't want to let that happen again. |
I think they doggoned whipped our butt, ... They have players who can play in this league. That quarterback (Jon Grant) played lights out. One throw he looked like a women's softball pitcher (passing underhanded) and he hit it. We have to deal with the why and be mature about it. This is where we're at. |
I thought the offense played OK. We'll play better. We need to get it right and we're capable of playing at a higher level. |
I watched him play basketball after he missed three weeks with something in the groin area. I think he's a brawler; he knocks people around. He's a tough guy who's only going to get better. |
