I HAVE to have two cheeseburgers the night before every game, |
(The Redskins) were able to come out and make some plays. You win games when you make enough plays. When you don't, you lose them. |
[Coach Tom Coughlin said Will Allen is still the starter at cornerback, despite the fact that rookie Corey Webster replaced him in the fourth quarter against the Saints. Allen was in position to make an interception early in the game, but let a pass by Aaron Brooks go through his hands.] Of course it was a surprise, ... I'm a starter and I feel like I should be a starter in this league. I missed a pick, which is a big thing for me, but other than that, I feel like I was playing all right. But obviously, I wasn't. |
A couple weeks ago we weren't talking about injuries at all. We had a really healthy team. I don't see it as a distraction, though. It's a chance for some guys you don't generally see get a chance to go out there and ball. We need all of them. |
A lot of people think that's their weak point. We disagree. |
A lot of those game plans you want to throw out the window. |
Beating the Eagles is still beating the Eagles. |
Football players are prideful guys, so I could assume he wants to come out and have a big day against us. In order for him to have a big day it means we have to have a bad day and I?m not looking for us to have a bad day. |
Guys are always trying to rally each other when we fall behind or hit a tough spot in a game. It just seems to mean more when Vince does it because he always delivers. |
He plays a lot bigger than he is. He's an excellent route runner and he runs well after the catch. He goes up and attacks the ball and he's not afraid to go in and slug it out with you. That's what makes him a good receiver. |
He practically lived with me my senior year. |
He's still a hard runner. He's still got it, but our defense is tough. It's hard to run on us, it's hard to pass on us. But Ricky, he ran hard. He's always going to run hard. |
I didn't come here just to sit back, |
I didn't get my name called though. It will be a great feeling to hear my name announced, but I enjoy just running out when my name is not called. |
I don't get too focused on what (the coaches) are thinking, because if I do that, I can't focus on what I'm doing. If you do, when you're out on the field, you think about it. When you're in the locker room, it can cause tension and cause you not to be totally focused on helping the team. I try not to get sidetracked. |
