I moved here from Boston in 1981 and got the feeling that not much happened around here with running. Six months later, there's the first Kingston Classic and all that thinking changed. I love the day and for me it signals that we made it through another Catskill winter. |

I only spoke (publicly) once, and then I spoke again three months later. All the garbage in between was Major League Baseball. I blame them for that. I don't know who was leaking or what not. ... All this stuff, the back and forth, I would think that was ridiculous, too. |
I played most of my shots exactly like I wanted to. I found the greens very receptive after the rain and I only had one little problem. That was at the 13th hole where I hit a ball into a fairway divot. Other than that I made the most of the putts that I was supposed to. |

I rarely write Spenser: For Hire. The ABC series is based on characters created by me, and I serve on the program as a consultant. As we all know, a consultant's first responsibility is to deposit the check every week. After that, I read each script and make suggestions. |
I really hope one of our strengths will be consistency, and that's what I preach to them everyday. I really hope we're able to control the shots that we make and when we have opportunities to take advantage of them. Our depth is a concern, we just don't have the numbers. |
I remember playing practice rounds with him in 2000, and he'd hit these drives and you'd say, 'Wow, that is so far and so straight,' ... You never say that anymore. It was frightening playing with him then. In the last year and a half or so I'm driving it right with him. |
I remember when I was 16 and I could take the written test one week, take the driving test the next week and 'boom,' I had a license. The way it's set up now gives kids more practice under real driving circumstances with a parent who has the time they need to teach them. |
I said to Mr. Bowles, 'That would be like me saying to you that the only reason that you were an ardent supporter of fast track is because you're a very wealthy man with a very large stock portfolio and you're making money, tons of money, because of these trade policies, |
I said, 'Really? That was my unit. And I don't remember seeing you there,' ... So I called my friends and said, 'Did you know that George Bush served in our unit?' And everyone said, 'No, I never saw him there.' It would be impossible to be unseen in a unit of that size. |
I saw the way Downie had played all game and I knew he was a player who played with an edge. We exchanged slashes, I saw him skating toward me and I was trying to be prepared. I didn't want to put a guy out of the tournament, but I didn't want him to pull anything on me. |
