I don't think the Big East or college basketball or the (selection) committee should feel any embarrassment if that team goes to the NCAA Tournament. (But) we were home and Denham, some of our veteran players, Rashad, etc., they made some terrific plays down the stretch. |
I don't think words could describe what that could do for the city. The city has been ravaged. They need some good news. Tourism is a big part of their whole economic structure. Hopefully they can get it pushed through really soon so people can start making plans for it. |
I don't understand why they're scamming us like this. If they had a problem with anything, the courteous thing would be to call back. It's the principle of the thing. It's just 66 bucks, but if he's doing that to us, he must be doing it to other people, know what I mean? |
I don't view it as a rivalry. I never have had anything against Council Rock. We haven't seen each other in a few years (since 2003, to be honest). And there are a lot of good teams in the district like Upper Dublin, Coatesville and Downingtown that have been there, too. |
I don't worry about the polls, but I think any time you're ranked high it's a compliment to your players and your program and it's challenging and we look forward to trying to do better. We have our own goals and they can't be any higher than anybody else's goals for us. |
I e-mailed a picture of it to a friend of mine, Keith Belford, who works for Boone and Crockett, and he said he'd have never believed it, ... He showed it to some people out there (at B&C headquarters in Montana), and a lot of them said it looked like it was unscoreable. |
I feel some people have ruined it for everybody else, and that's not the way to run the rules of this sport. It's not 20 percent of the drivers. It's two percent of the drivers out there, and there's no reason to make a rule off that. Those drivers should be quarantined. |
I felt good. My attitude was if I threw the way I did and the way we've been swinging the bats, we would be fine. Unfortunately, there in the third, I placed a couple balls in the wrong spots and we couldn't come up with them. The game was pretty much even at that point. |
I felt something happen to the car the lap before; it felt like the car didn't have a sway bar. The first hit was the one that hurt the most, probably because I had a long time to think about it...I just hate it because I thought we had a car that could have won tonight. |
I felt that Davis wouldn't have gone Division I if they thought they were going to be at the bottom of Division I, because they were at the top of Division II. It's a great compliment to Sandy and his staff that they've been able to move so quickly in women's basketball. |
I find it easy to understand why the likes of Sarah-Louise end up going astray. Everybody hits that stage where the more your parents try to keep you close, the more you want to break free. But I was nowhere near as bad as Sarah-Louise is, although my mum might disagree. |
I flew airplanes in the Navy and I learned to concentrate and focus out there. When there's bad weather, there are two places to land, on the ship or in the water. So I learned how to concentrate. I took that along with the karate and just tried to learn about the sport. |
I flew out to Los Angeles to tape a one-hour show, and it took 5 1/2 hours. I called my wife and said, 'Screw this stuff.' I just wanted the opportunity to coach again. I'm around guys who are friends and good football coaches. I think it's going to be a good experience. |
I found myself wondering what a gay person in such a masculine-oriented society did - whether they fled to Denver or toughed it out. I began thinking about homophobia. In fact, the thing that destroyed the relationship between the two characters was their own homophobia. |
I get enthusiastic when groups with widely different perspectives can work together and advance a policy that we think will add certainty and environmental protection. It maximizes treatment. It's a triumph of treatment over dilution and collaboration over confrontation. |
