I commend the Senate for its work passing an excellent tidelands bill, ... This bill brings a level playing field to all casinos, whether they are over the water or on dry land, and ensures that the tidelands program will continue to improve the quality of life on the Coast. |
I could've easily had 15 teams this year. I was approached at the U.S. Open in Dallas in February by three high-profile teams who want to join. But this is about quality control over quantity. In the future, we may add more teams, but for now I'm happy with the five we have. |
I didn't hit the ball quite as well as [Thursday], but I putted really well, ... I really struggled in the middle of the round with three bogeys in four holes [Nos. 18, 1 and 3]. But I stayed patient and made a nice run at the end, so it's nice to get back in the tournament. |
I don't believe he should be fired. I believe, yes, there should be some sort of consequence for what he's doing. He should be reprimanded but I believe that he's knowledgeable in geography, I mean, he knows what he's talking about -- as long as he just teach the curriculum. |
I don't believe that Taylor would go willingly with this man to have an intimate encounter. She told girlfriends that, after the first time, she had absolutely no interest in him other than a friendship. It just couldn't have been an accident. There's just absolutely no way. |

I don't know how good we will end up overall this season, but I've been nothing less than enthused with the progress from where we came from. Last year, we were very weak, had only a couple of starters and fought our way to a 4-6 season. We've come a country mile since then. |
I don't know if boring is the right word to describe the coming year. But it's not likely there will be anything controversial. It's going to be a status quo kind of year. The Legislature is in an enviable position as to what to do with all the extra money that is coming in. |
I don't know if I consider us the favorite right now, but we have to be ranked right up there. These kids have been working hard and they've improved all year. The three have been swimming together for a while now and Ashley has fit in really well. I'm expecting good things. |
I don't know if will erase the bad taste, but it may help a little bit. I know defensively, if we can go out there and capitalize on our game plan and do what we need to do, we still have the opportunity to finish in the top 10. That's something that we can hang our hats on. |
I don't know that I want to expose too much, but if you look at the various technologies we've been acquiring, you can start to figure out how model-based architectures and virtualization technologies and global name space technologies all fit into ... a grid infrastructure. |
I don't recall an early storm this bad, ... I don't think anybody predicted this kind of impact and this kind of heavy, wet frozen snow - there must be a tremendous amount of weight on those electrical lines and telephone poles, because they were just broken like toothpicks. |
I don't think anyone ever thought this rule would be used for this kind of situation. But having been through it, I can tell you it's an easier way to deal with it because it doesn't force you into doing something you don't want to do. It allows you to play the scenario out. |
I don't think I have a lot of close friends in life, but I include coach Beamer as one of them. That relationship won't change. Business is business. I think we have enough respect for each other . . . we've all been through days like that. It's not fun for either one of us. |
I don't think it's a lost cause and I certainly hope to get the Department of Justice in line with us. At this time, we're trying to pursue filing an injunction. If the (American Civil Liberties Union) finds that the rights of detainees are impeded, we may be able to get it. |
