I know we keep putting that question off, but it's all hypothetical. Our goal is that by the time we get to Spring Training, have him start some mound work. There's no way we can make a definitive time table right now. This is a really crucial time right now [in Wood's rehab]. |
I know what we can control, we can control our effort and we can control our approach. We do what we're supposed to do to get some second-chance points off the offensive glass, maybe our pressure can get us some easy opportunities in the open floor and we've got to capitalize. |
I learned a long time ago, you gotta take wins and be happy. I knew they'd come back. In fairness to our guys, we got a lot of foul trouble in that first half. Trying to guard Michael White, we did a decent job of holding him to 16 points, but he puts a lot of fouls on people. |
I like that. That says a lot about him. Most people would kind of rest on what they did. That's a good attitude. This guy has had to prove so much in his life, I don't think this is anything different. If he keeps that attitude, I think good things are going to happen for him. |
I looked at the second baseman and I figured I'd go hard and give up my body to get in there, ... It was key. It was all about just putting pressure on their guy. I wasn't able to put down any bunts today. I'm upset about that, but I was able to get some key hits for the team. |

I really don't know if I have a 'most comfortable position' anymore. I came up as a shortstop, so any time I get thrown out there, things just feel natural to me. The last few years I've really worked hard at improving at second base. I feel really comfortable over there, too. |
I really enjoyed it when my kids were playing. Central was leading 70-54 and my son John comes into the game. At that point, he scored 20 points in the remaining time and Sturgis beat 75-74. I was doing the game with Verne Shepperd and it was just a very special memory for me. |
I really wanted to win this tournament. We lost [in the final] last week and when I reviewed the video, that really was a match we should have won. I really wasn't myself this weekend, but fortunately Misty picked us up with plays at the end of matches the way she always does. |
I regret that instead of accepting our many previous invitations to work with the Senate and increase the level of consultation and cooperation to help fill judicial vacancies, the White House repeatedly has chosen to continue down its path of trying to politicize the process, |
I remember racing at Laguna Seca in the late '90s and there being a lot of people there on race day. Most of those people are still out there somewhere. There's a lot of road racing fans in Northern California, and hopefully they're going to want to come out here this weekend. |
I said, ‘I don’t think so. I had an aunt and uncle here but they died 10 years ago,’ ... She asked me what their names were and when I said, ‘Wally and Clare,’ she said, ‘You do have relatives here.’ It turns out she knew my aunt and uncle better than I ever did. |
I saw some light at the end of the tunnel, but I didn't think it would come like this. Its amazing for it all to come this quickly. I'm in shock and awe. It's nice to have enough money at this point that I can play very aggressively from here on out and try to win another one. |
I saw them play (Friday night) and he caught fire just where he left off. I don't know if there was much we could have done differently. He was just making shots. That's a nice zone to be in during a very important part of the season. Kudos to Cody, he shot the ball very well. |
I shall always remember you-slyly, touchingly, but with great shouting and confusion-pumping hot water into our sleeping car in the frosty darkness of a December morning in order that we might not know, in order that we might never realize, to how primitive a land we had come. |
