I am an attack-minded coach and like to take people on but circumstances dictated my plans because we had a few players injured. Within the budget we are trying to bring players in but we have to get on with it. That's life. The only worry I have is we will lose players through injury. |
I am confident in our ability to swim these routines well, after swimming them back-to-back this weekend. Saturday and Sunday were two hard competition days in a row, so it was a great test of the team's endurance. [I was] very excited about the improvements the team made this weekend. |
I am going to protect the athletes from themselves. In the same instance, I'm not causing them any harm. Part of my job is to ensure the safety and well-being of student athletes. Parents want a safe environment. [I do not want any] harm to come to student athletes while they are here. |
I am hoping I can turn my form around as it is a lifelong ambition of mine to represent Europe in the Ryder Cup. The first European Tour event I will play in is the South African Open, but in the meantime I will be trying to improve my world ranking as that's another way of qualifying. |
I am very fortunate that I have a large audience who watches my show, and who seem to love my show, and there's certainly a lot of people contact that comes from that. But that really hasn't changed what I still feel, or how I get up in the morning, or what motivates me to get to work. |
I believe that this nation can only heal from the wounds of racism if we all begin to love blackness. And by that I don't mean that we love only that which is best within us, but that we're also able to love that which is faltering, which is wounded, which is contradictory, incomplete. |
I believe that we must work to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies through education and family planning. But I also believe that our Constitution protects a woman's right to privacy, and that this constitutional right encompasses the decision of whether to terminate a pregnancy. |
I can think of nothing that would galvanize and anger a wide segment of the American public more than overturning Roe v. Wade . I can't think of another issue that would generate as much intensity not only from the active left and feminists, but also from a lot of people in the middle. |
I can't believe that a Northern Region team hasn't won it in 25 years. There's four regions, so you'd figure, on average, once every four years you should [have a Northern Region team win]. Now you'll have dry periods but to go 25 years without another state championship is an anomaly. |
I can't wait for the season to start! I'm sure every Director of Rugby and coach is in the same boat and really looking forward to the start of the new campaign. It's the time of year when everyone starts with zero on the table and everything in front of you is still in your own hands. |
I could've pushed him out of the way, but that's not the way I want to get wins. He was protecting the bottom. His car was really slow. We were way faster than he was, and it's just tough. This place is hard to pass. Protecting the bottom - that's what you've got to do here in Bristol. |
I couldn't do anything without my crew. They're the people that put in the blood, sweat, and tears ? and they do bleed sometimes and they do sweat a lot. Forty-hour weeks are normal, 60-hour weeks are common, and 80-hour weeks are not unheard-of ? we do three or four of those a season. |
I didn't learn a lot about business, because I've already run companies. I learned more about myself. I have always told people that they could do anything if they were motivated. But when we produced a children's book in 48 hours, I realized I really could do anything if I am focused. |
I didn't really think they were going to score. I just felt it was going to be our day, particularly when Kenny Miller put one over the bar with ten minutes to go. It would have been interesting if they had got one back with 20 minutes to go, but fortunately we stood firm and held out. |
