I hope we're peaking at the right time here soon so we can go into the tournament with some momentum. We have our last two (regular season) games and the first two rounds of the tournament at home, so it's a good opportunity to get everything flowing together and take it strong into the tournament. |
I just go to the ballpark and watch as the media buzz around me. Especially if the Red Sox are playing. I hang out on the field before the game. I visit the clubhouses. The rumors start flying like base hits off one of those South African pitchers we faced in the World Baseball Classic. Good times. |
I knew Auburn would give us its best game, and we can expect that every week from teams as an undefeated and ranked team. (Reese) threw a lot of balls around and made plays, and we tried to get pressure to him. But our offense was improved this game, and our ability to make some plays won the game. |
I leave with great pride in what I have been able to accomplish at a school that only verbally supports their sports programs. Those in charge have unrealistic expectations of success considering the lack of funds budgeted. In spite of their lack of commitment, I was able to accomplish many things. |
I like to watch junior tape, but I also like to get to know the young man. Being an athlete is one thing; being a student and having good character is something else. How can you evaluate that after watching junior tape and maybe getting them on campus one or two times? I'd rather be a step slower. |
I love the challenge and I love coming down the stretch and making the shots you need to, ... It's just the extra excitement, knowing there are just a few holes left and having to hit the perfect shot. That's when all my adrenaline starts kicking in, on the back nine because that's when it matters. |
I play this game for the camaraderie, but most of all because I am able to hit people and get away with it. I like knowing that I can hit a man and it hurts him and I can get away with it. I can't do that on the streets. Football is a violent game, but it brings me peace. The field is my sanctuary. |
I promise these players every year in spring training, I take responsibility for their security and their families' security. It's good to have a working relationship with all of them. When one of them is going for a record or is in some way in prominence, they'll get special attention, absolutely. |
I read the book and e-mailed the organization, we got to talking and I asked if we could do a fundraiser for them. I then went to the school and started lobbying if we could have the football game with the fire fighters. They said they'd love to do it and here we are a year later, playing the game. |
I realized there was another place to spend money other than on myself. I'm not a God freak, but I feel like God has opened doors for me and I haven't made a conscious decision to do anything in my life. The doors keep on opening and I just keep on walking through. This was my time to do something. |
I remember he loved the patent cases, ... He used to get the invention involved in the case, take it apart and put it together again. He enjoyed seeing how the apparatus worked. . . . He also enjoyed the admiralty cases. He loved to get models of ships and recreate the circumstances of a collision. |

I respect the passion of the individuals that have been writing these letters. But some of them are filled with misinformation and have taken pot shots at President Rao, when he's been the one saying, 'Find a way to keep the museum open.' The campaign made absolutely no difference in this decision. |
I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What doeth it? / I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life. |
