I was never a teenager. I became a teenager in Christ the King and I never grew out of it. More seriously... as I'm always serious as you know, there weren't teenagers in the late 1930s and early 1940s. There were adolescents. But by the time I was ordained and was dumped into Beverly, there were teenagers. |
I was really proud of the way we were distributing the ball tonight. We did a great job passing the ball into the post and I think that's what we're all about – just hit the open girl and play hard on defense. Horizon has improved a lot, too, so we wanted to make sure we came in here and got the job done. |
I was right there on launch pad 39B, looking up at those grand towers thinking about my teacher and her experiences up there. She always told us to reach for the stars, to not give up on your dreams. That's what made her one of my heroes. She lived what she preached. Man, she certainly did that for herself. |
I was surprised when I learned I would be for sure getting a bronze and even more surprised when I going to be getting a silver. It was kind of like, oh that's nice. But over the last four years, I changed as a person. My focus is not on the medal. For me it's the experience and the process and enjoying it. |
I was talking with the Germans (Monday). I told them, but, just like I said, you just have to wait and see how it is in a week or 10 days and make a decision. If it's still bad, then we all have to make a decision. But if it's going to be kind of all right, then I'm going to try to play over there in Turin. |
I was used to the pace. I'm used to working fast, thinking things through. Brian and I were together 11 years. It seemed like one long season. We were always retooling and rebuilding and reloading. One of the greatest things we accomplished was playing only 14 games in 9 years where we were out of the race. |
I watch a lot of TV and I haven't seen anybody give us a chance. That is cool with us because we understand that is not going to determine if we win the football game or not. What is going to determine it is how well we are going to prepare this week and how well we get out there and play on Saturday night. |
I will take one week off, definitely not go to New Haven, try to take care of my knee and try to get ready for U.S. Open, where I should be at my best. So because of the knee, I would skip New Haven and try to go to the doctor, spend much more time with him so he can fix me at least so I can play U.S. Open. |

I would think any team at this point in time, given where we are, would be pretty weak if they let these games affect them. Because we're still there. We can make up for these last three days if we play well on the road. I'm positive, man. I feel good about my guys. No doom and gloom. We're looking forward. |
I would've done it again. It didn't cost us the pennant or the World Series. It wasn't quite the Pedro Martinez versus the Yankees in the postseason decision, but I thought [Towers] earned it. Ortiz took [Ted] Lilly, [Scott] Downs and a couple lefties deep a couple days before that, so it's not a guarantee. |
I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see [new town attorney] Ed Marcus make a deal with a developer. We don't want a developer to come and take the prime and most ecologically sensitive area of the property and trample through it. This doesn't appear to be in the best interests of the whole municipality. |
I'd like the focus of the resolution to be on urging the U.N. to take action, setting a deadline, an ultimatum to have the very strong inspections, to force inspections and to authorize member nations to use military force to implement that resolution calling for the very strong inspections and disarmament. |
I'd like to improve on our record and how far we go in the America East tourney. But I'd also like to see an improvement of skills and create an exciting vibe at Stony Brook. I expect great things this year. We have a young group of ladies with a lot of potential and who are not afraid to try something new. |
I'd love to become like Bill Murray, who was so funny on Saturday Night Live and has gone on to do some of the landmark comedies people like. And then to add this whole other phase to his career with Lost in Translation and Rushmore. I always felt to be able to have something similar to that would be great. |
