I think, in this case, it might be more important for them to know me. I'm going to know pretty much, I think, what they can do. But there's a real serious side of me that takes things serious, and the answer to all these favors and everything is not always going to be yes. That's when you find out if you're all together or not. |
I thought he would fit in better back at safety. I think he was struggling a little bit at the Husky position so we wanted to put him back at strong safety, where he was probably a little bit more comfortable. We didn't want to go too deep into spring without doing that so we tried to evaluate it as quickly as we could with him. |
I thought it was a special goal knowing how important it was at that stage of the game. The game was going to go down to the wire and they were playing really well there. It is a great reflection on a tremendous career. He gets into situations like that because of how he plays, and we have been happy with everything he has done. |
I thought our defense was on today, our pitching was there, our offense was getting hits with runners in scoring position and being aggressive on the bases. Scoring in the first inning also was huge for us. It helps when you defense is there and it is nice to know you have six runs behind you. It was a nice start to the weekend. |
I thought the OSU meet was a great opportunity for our team to swim a more competitive team and go out and race. We were challenged, and it was a help to get us ready for racing at the conference championships. Buffalo was more of a cap-off to the season where we were able to swim some different events and enjoy ourselves a bit. |
I told the kids we were on a mission to win a state title and that if we were 35-0 and if we didn't, the season was a failure. Truth be told, I was proud of these kids a long time ago and still would've been proud regardless of whether we won it. I felt we could do this. It's not a surprise. I felt last year we could've done it. |
I want to give fans the chance to get on the train right at the beginning. I want them to be able to share in any success that may come along. So I'll endorse a site to be the official fan site - for the entire series – it could be something very big for them. Just look at the fan sites of Harry Potter and other fantasy books. |
I was a little bit scared at first. I was in my 30s when I originally sang those numbers. Now, I am old enough. During the recording, David told me that he thought of Burman as a very big composer, someone like Mozart. I felt sad, because he died 12 years ago and he didn't get the recognition that he deserved while he was alive. |
I was a little bit tired at the beginning of the final set, so I started to drink (an energy drink) and always when I drink it I start to feel a little bit sick, ... I took too much and felt like I was going to burp, then yuk! It's very tough to go and hold your serve after taking a break as long as that but I got back on track. |
I was in the car on my way to London, and Radio 2 was doing the Bee Gees story. They started playing the demos we'd made, then I heard Maurice talking. Suddenly that feeling of helplessness and non-acceptance came flooding back. I don't think you can ever come to terms with something like this. But you can learn to live with it. |
I was just really excited that Larry decided to put me in. I just wanted to wait for my perfect pitch and when I found it, I drove it to right center and I was really proud of it. It makes me feel really good because it lets me know I can contribute to the team. It lets the team know that I can pull through when they need me to. |
I went to California to study drama and study film, still with the goal of going back to China. I stayed for at least four years and then I visited China. I was a little lost. I was very homesick. I took a risk, I went back to China and realized that I have actually changed, that China as a whole wasn't what I imagined it to be. |
I wouldn't say they have [asked for input], ... but, I mean, I'm the one who's out on the track and I'm the one who's possible going to drop the stick or be getting the stick around. So it all falls on me and us athletes who are out there on the track. So I think that we should have more input than coaches at this point in time. |
I'm a big believer in my faith, and I actually believe God helped me make the decision to come to Notre Dame for a reason. I feel the same way about him giving me the feeling it's in my best interest to come back for another year and it's in my best interest to finish up school and be ready for the real world when football ends. |
