I Like Chris Paul a lot. He was one of my favorite players when I watched him at Wake Forest. I used to talk about him a lot. I like what he's doing with that team. I like the way he's running the (pick and roll) and adjusting to the whole NBA system. He's definitely, if he continues to work, is going to be a great guard, an All-Star in this league. |
I like the player and I am interested in him, yes. It's a massive gamble because no matter how many qualities you have...he is only 16 years of age. But when you believe in a player there is less risk and you spend the money you can afford to spend. In his case it would be a massive amount of money for a boy of his age. You either go with it or not. |
I love going to Ohio State, but I cannot stand when they boo the opposing team when they run onto the field. It drives me insane. To me, not basically appreciating what the other team is doing is not the spirit [International captain] Gary [Player] and I want to see in the matches. I don't think it was terrible today, but I think we could be better. |
I ran Book Expo for five years, and while running that show, I started recognizing the explosive growth of comic books and graphic novels. I couldn't believe that there was no comic-based fan show in New York, the media publishing capital of the world. I started talking with some other people and from that point on, the whole industry was behind us. |
I really didn't expect much of a fan base but they surprised me. They built a new 300-million dollar stadium. There were about 40,000 fans. There was a big social scene. You just had to get used to the language, although a lot of the kids had been taught English or at least made themselves understood. It wasn't too different once you got settled in. |
I really didn't have any particular inspiration ? a little (Dick) Cheney and Al Gore in there somewhere. And there's probably a little bit of Lyndon Johnson, too ? a combination of all vice presidents that I've known. And a little bit of what Ray Wise thinks about how to play the vice president. But I'm waiting to play the president in the big time. |
I regret the pain that this matter has caused my wife and my children and my parents and my family. They are wonderful good loving people. I care deeply about my community and I love our country, which I have tried to serve in a number of different capacities. I came to Washington to try to do good and I am proud of the good that we were able to do. |

I still think I'm a starter in this league, ... But I'm older (he'll be 31 in October) and I'm looking for a playoff team. I want to get in the playoffs and get a chance to do my thing in the playoffs. That's the most appealing thing to me about the Nets. I don't think my role is the most important thing. I think winning is the most important thing. |
I take the same approach every time. Early in the count I'm hoping they throw me a mistake and that's what I feel like happened in the first couple of at-bats. It's really important when another team makes a mistake, you've really got to bury them. You have to go right after them and make those mistakes hurt. I think our team did a good job of that. |
I think everybody knows what to expect from Coach Coughlin, ... The five minutes early, that's just part of it. Now you know how it is. No one talks about it any more . . . . That's just the way it is. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it. Everybody knows we've got to get better. We need some discipline to be a better team than we were last year. |
I think everything I've done [this spring] -- I feel I'm further along than most people thought I would be. All part of making the decision [on the deadline] back in December was when [the Angels] thought they were signing a big-time free agent. If Manny Ramirez is in this room, yeah, the deadline is different. But that is not quite the concern now. |
I think he performed better than anyone could have expected. He's a guy who never even started in an NFL game before. It's different if he had all week to prepare, but he finds out right before kickoff he was going to start. Mentally, a lot of people wouldn't have been able to handle that, but he did. Mentally and physically, he performed very well. |
I think it's a bad deal because it potentially opens up America to further attacks. The United Arab Emirates has not always been an ally on the war on terror. It has only come to that position lately. We don't have a really good handle on their sympathies. What we do know is the UAE has been one of the primary crossroads for terrorists in the world. |
I think it's a strange decision, but it sounds like the decision's been made. I don't know that there is a usual way. We've been scouring the FIS regulations and there's nothing that gives specific guidelines how to do it. The jury determined they have a chance to get one round in tomorrow and maybe not two, so they're letting the first round stand. |
