I was seventeen when my mother passed away, ... I was heartbroken. Nothing mattered to me anymore. I thought seriously about not finishing high school, even of dropping out of boxing. Not one day passes that I don't think about my mother. And to be honest, there are still times when it's a lonely world without her. But I feel that I was blessed to have her in my life, and I believe she's still looking out for me. |
I would feel the same way if I was the GM or the owner. I totally understand them. But I hope they understand me, too, that there's big pressure on me from Sweden to go over and play. I hope (Snider) understands that I play hockey to win. And I am proud to represent my country, and if I can, I will. I would not go if I didn't feel 100 percent because I know who's paying my salary and I have a responsibility here. |
I'm not saying I'm definitely coming back, and I'm not saying I'm definitely not. I just don't know, ... Waiting until next year would be a good thing for me. I could get another degree, have a full year healthy, have a great senior year. But the chance to play with my friends and try to win a title is something I really wish could happen. Even if we didn't win it, I'd really like to be out there with those guys. |
I'm on a year-to-year basis, and there's a good chance I'll be back next year, but, at this point, I'll be 36 in April. If I'm productive and I stay healthy, I'll go in and see how I feel. I had the hamstring problem early this season, and that bothered me. The last six, seven weeks I've played pretty good football. We've taken the pads off, so that helps me a little bit. It's kind of hard for me to hit a little. |
I'm one of the safeties who can cover around here. There are some great athletes here, guys who can run like the wind, and I've just been blessed with coverage skills. I've been working at those kinds of things and that's one of my strong points. I've been doing well, but I've got to continue playing against these guys. These are some fast dudes out here. They can fly. It's good competition, though, so I like it. |
I'm surprised at how efficient Kevin is playing as a sophomore. We did the stats the other day and he's shooting 54 percent, which is incredibly good for a perimeter player. His AAU experienced has definitely helped. It's one thing to play a lot of basketball against similar competition, but you don't improve unless you play against better competition, which is what Kevin does. He earns every bit of what he gets. |
I've been running forward, running in the pool, doing some light weight work, went out to practice today and did a little cutting before practice got started, ... For my own self-confidence, to see where I'm at. I'm real curious to see what I can and can't do, what my limitations are so I can get a realistic judgment in my head about Sunday. I'm just trying to put myself through enough to see what I'm able to do. |
I've watched five or six captains that have tried to play and Tom knows what is going on and what is ahead for him. He's learned that it is a lot more work than people think and he's gotten ahead of it. Whether it is picking out the clothes or organizing the structure to do the things that he wants to do, he realizes that he needs to get it done. He's ahead of that so now he can take some time and play some golf. |
If in fact the OPEC countries can get together and cut supply, that would be great. I think what tends to happen is when we hear these kinds of announcements, oil stocks do extremely well, and yet the truth is somewhat a little less exciting than what the announcement comes out as. But I think definitely they need to cut supply -- there is a glut of oil around, and anything they can do should help the oil stocks. |
If you look at the market overall, you are in a negative place technically, ... The whole thing on the international front is kind of noise. It's a distraction from the fact that the economy is still choppy and that's why stocks aren't going anywhere. You almost want to get this whole geopolitical thing out of the way so stocks can just go down, which is where they would be without this, instead of just drifting. |
In the study we're doing, we're looking at assessing both the local and express service, evaluating the fare policy and structure and the new service feasibility, with emphasis on two areas in the county being Kennesaw-Acworth in the northwest and Powder Springs-Austell in the southwest. We are also looking at comprehensive bus stop evaluation and looking at those elements like condition and signage and so forth. |
Intel Capital consistently invests ahead of the curve, and we feel that the timing to launch a fund in India could not be more ideal. We anticipate that the establishment of the India Technology Fund will inspire even more innovative business models among Indian entrepreneurs, help accelerate technology adoption locally, and foster the development of innovative technologies with potential for global distribution. |

It is the smart thing to do. Not too many kids have time or money to visit coast-to-coast. But the more visits a kid takes, the more colleges become aware of him. If you don't play well, you won't get an offer. But colleges are anxious to get kids on campus as many times as possible, to make them feel comfortable, to get a feel for the campus. Then they feel they have as good a chance to sign them as anyone else. |
It would be extremely damaging to the NFL as a brand to move this franchise, because you're going to see over the next year the recovery of New Orleans become equated with American patriotism. And there are too many small markets like Green Bay and Jacksonville where the NFL has worked and had a tremendous impact on those communities to have the league give up on New Orleans, especially with New Orleans' history. |
